Year 3 visit Stonehenge

Year 3 pupils enjoyed a fantastic trip to Stonehenge on Tuesday 24th September. Pupils were able to explore a Neolithic village and look at replica Sarsen stone.

The pupils took on the mighty walk to the ancient stone monument where we were all amazed at the sheer size of the wonder of Stonehenge. The pupils asked many questions about how the stones got there, why they were there and what had happened at this incredible site.

Following this, the pupils were able to explore the exhibition, showing ancient artefacts which have been discovered at the site, including animal bones and flint. It was a truly wonderful day of learning!
