Year 3

Welcome

In Year 3, we aim to help children develop their independence and confidence as the newest members of Key Stage 2, building on their learning and experiences from Key Stage 1. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment to develop the skills and knowledge that they will need as they progress through Seaton Primary School and beyond.

We develop Year 3 pupils' growth mindset to allow the children to develop resilience and understand the importance of 'having a go'. We encourage children to take responsibility for their own learning and praise and reward those that are being the best they can be. Year 3 pupils use the classroom, our school grounds, including the woods, swimming pool and field, as well as our town and local trips to enrich our learning and build on experiences.

Pupils in Year 3 can expect to visit Stonehenge in the Autumn term, experience local walks around Seaton and Exeter during the Spring term and bring their Ancient Egypt learning to life at The Tutankhamun Exhibition during the Summer term.
