Christmas stories around a campfire
Children in Year 3 were invited into the school woodlands to sit around a warm campfire and listen to intriguing folk tales being told by Mr Holland. They learnt all about how the Robin got it’s red breast, how man learnt about fire in ‘The fox and the fire’ and why Christmas trees have sparkling stars on top of their heads. This was a wonderful morning spent outside cuddled up in our natural environment. The children listened attentively and thoroughly enjoyed the Christmassy experience.
