Year 2 Church Visit

5 July 2016Latest News Year 2

Last Friday, Year 2 spent the morning at St Gregory’s Church and the Methodist Church in Seaton.

At St Gregory’s we were allowed to wander around the church and draw different features that we spotted. These included the altar, font, lecturn, bells and pews. We also got to try on some different outfits that the vicars wear and we got to eat some of the communion wafers!

At the Methodist church, Deacon Becky talked to us about different Rites of Passage in a Christian’s life and how they are celebrated. She brought this to life for us by staging our very own wedding!

Thank you to both Reverend Jeremy Trew and Deacon Becky Lovett for giving us such an interesting morning.
