Year 2 Build London!

On Friday, the hall was packed with many Year 2 parents coming along to help their children recreate a London building from before the Great Fire in 1666. Among the creations were many houses with traditional wooden beams and thatched roofs, churches, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral, and of course the famous Pudding Lane bakery!

All the buildings are currently on display outside the Year 2 classrooms. This week they will be assembled onto a base to recreate the city of London ready for the reenactment of the Great Fire on Thursday. Keep an eye out for another blog later this week with photos and hopefully a video!
