Reception Newsletter 6th July

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a fantastic day at the World of Country Life. The children all really enjoyed themselves and did the school very proud. Thank you for providing them with the necessary items needed for an enjoyable and safe day in the sun! A big thank you to the mums we had helping out today too, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Literacy

This week we have been talking a lot about our trip and planning what we might like to do. Hopefully the children managed to fit in all of their chosen activities to a very busy day. Next week we will concentrate on phonics, reading and handwriting to ensure we keep practising these important skills.

Maths

Next week we will be focusing on ordering numbers and thinking more about place value. We will do this through a number of fun activities, such as bingo and ‘feely bags’. This is something you might like to try as a family at home.

Library and Reading Challenge Books

Thank you to those of you that have returned these books. If you have not returned them yet you will receive a reminder note. If you have misplaced any books the library will be asking for a replacement.
