Reception Newsletter 20th July

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a fantastic year we have had! The children have made amazing progress and have matured and developed into independent learners. The Reception Team are all incredibly proud of their achievements. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support. When children are supported at home it makes a real difference to them at school.

We will be collecting in reading books on Monday next week. Please do keep up the reading over the holidays. Visiting the local library to borrow different books to enjoy together is a good idea. You may also like to continue to practise writing during the summer – perhaps your child would like to keep a diary of what they have done?

Tomorrow is our celebration assembly from 9.15am. Children from Reception – Year 2 will be singing some songs and sharing their learning from this year.

Swimming has now finished for the year. Children will start swimming again in Year 1. Please look out for Parentmails informing you of these dates in September.

Next Wednesday your child may like to bring in a toy from home for toy day. We will be finishing at 1pm.

Thank you all again for a wonderful year! Have a lovely summer,

Miss Mabin and Mrs Burkill
