Reception Newsletter 19th July 2018

Reception Newsletter 19.7.18

Dear Parents,

We are all very excited about our end of year trip tomorrow. Please make sure you read the parentmail about what your child should bring. We will be arriving back at school at 4pm.

Picnic Party

We will be having a picnic party on Wednesday afternoon. The children will eat a slightly smaller lunch at their normal time (no pudding please if you are providing packed lunch) so that they have room for party food in the afternoon. We will be on the field all afternoon (weather permitting) to eat and have some fun! Your child may come to school in party clothes all day, but please ensure they are wearing shoes appropriate for running around and dancing. Thank you.

A sign-up sheet for party food will be outside our classrooms tomorrow and Monday if you would like to contribute.

This week we have been writing about what we would like to do on our trip tomorrow. The children have worked very independently and have enjoyed thinking about what they’ll be doing during the day. This was our last piece of formal writing for the year and we are so proud of how far they have all come.

Next week in Maths we will be continuing with our Beebot exploration, directing them on big maps on the floor.

Learning Journeys and Reading Books

We will be collecting in Reading books at the beginning of next week (but might continue to read in school if we have the time!). Please could you also bring in any remaining library books and reading challenge books. Thank you.
