Reception Newsletter 15th December
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a fantastic start to school the Reception children have had! We have been so impressed with how they have settled into school life. You may have noticed lots of changes in your child since they started school, including increased independence, improved ability to solve problems, new social skills and relationships and, of course, some newly acquired academic skills. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support during this first term and we are really looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store for us.
Today we had a delivery of the Christmas cards designed by your child, and individual/family photographs. If you were expecting either of these things and did not receive them, please let the office know.
Tomorrow your child will bring home a folder with lots of Christmas items in. The children have really enjoyed our Christmas activities, including learning the Nativity story and many children have been acting it out and singing the songs, despite the performances ending already!
Don’t forget, tomorrow school finishes at 1pm. We are not having a toy day (some of you have asked about this as other year groups are) because every day is a day to play in Reception!
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break and enjoy spending time together as a family.
