Platinum Jubilee Celebrations!

On the last day of term, Seaton Primary School celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style!

All children and staff came into school dressed in the colours of red, white and blue. The whole school gathered together on the playground for a lovely street party with picnic lunch boxes, ice lollies, balloons and bunting. Many children also made crowns and flags to add to the atmosphere!

The picnic lunch was preceded by an excellent whole school sing along led by Mr Lewis on the piano. The children worked really hard to learn parts of several different songs that were all number ones during previous Jubilee years. Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ proved to be a popular choice! The singing was rounded off with an excellent rendition of God Save the Queen.

A huge thank you goes to the PTA who provided all the decorations, squash and ice lollies for the event. And a special mention to Emma and her team in the school kitchen for making 200 packed lunch boxes!
