After a slight rain delay this morning, the whole school plus Year 2 parents gathered on the playground to watch the annual ‘Great Fire of London’.
The children had worked really hard with their parents the previous week to build various models of London buildings from 1666. We put these together on a base to recreate the streets of London.
The Pudding Lane bakery was set on fire and, with the help of the wind, this soon spread across the rest of the buildings until London was well alight! The fire eventually died down and all that was left were the ruins.
