Google Expeditions

Google Expeditions

On Monday 6th March, all pupils in Seaton Primary were taken on very special expeditions, right from the comfort of their classroom. Pupils explored many different scenes across the world and even into outer space through Google Cardboard. Reception took a trip under the sea to view a whale shark, dolphins and they even bravely faced a great white shark. Year 1 explored the lunar surface and the solar system. Year 2 braved the freezing conditions of Antarctica and got close to Gentoo penguins. Year 3 explored the Colosseum and other Roman wonders. Year 4 entered a Viking village to learn “The Way of the Warrior” culminating in a battle against the Saxons. Year 5 explored historic buildings around the UK including Stonehenge and Bath Abbey. Finally, Year 6 took a dive beneath the waters of the Caribbean and explored a shipwreck. Even the teachers got to fly above Rio De Janeiro.

All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excited to view and learn more. We are grateful to Google Expeditions Pioneer Program and Laura for making it all run smoothly.
