Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project

Following on from a visit from Helen Parr for the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat project, we are doing lots of different activities to become a Bat Friendly school.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 are invited to apply to become school AmBATsadors to help us learn more about this endangered species on our doorstep and think about ways to help them thrive. If you want to be an AmBATsador, please see Mr Lewis for an application.

We are lucky to live in one of the very few places in the country where Greater Horseshoe bats roost and things we can do at school and in our own gardens can make a very real difference to the numbers of Greater Horseshoe bats.

To see the different activities we have done in school, look at Bats on the Go Wild Section of Children’s Zone.
