Christmas Bazaar a crackin' success!

PTAlogoPress Release

Seaton Primary School’s PTA held their annual Christmas Bazaar last Thursday (3rd Dec). Once again it was a fantastic success and well attended by children and parents.

The bazaar doors were opened whilst the school choir sang and the festivities continued inside with ‘Sing-a-long’ to carols with Mr Lewis on the piano in the hall.

The PTA ran a German inspired food court including Hot Dogs and Currywurst made with award winning sausages generously donated by Lloyd Maunder Butchers, Seaton (formerly GW Meats) and The Shed’s own slow cooked BBQ marinated Pulled Pork Baps – all washed down with a glass of mulled wine and some festive music. The tables were decorated with Christmas table decorations made at a successful ‘Wreath Making’ morning run by the PTA the previous Saturday.

The chocolate tombola was a great success raising £465 with chocolate donated by children in exchange for a non uniform day in November.

There was lots of festive fun and games for all including Snowman Skittles, Hook a Book (with books generously donated by New Look News), Hoopla, Fairy Popper, Glitter Tattoos and Christmas Crafts.

The infamous ‘year 6 games’ were very popular once again with Year 6 pupils designing their own games and manning their stalls on the evening. In total they raised £215.95 with inventive games such as ‘The Rudolph game’, ‘Splat Father Christmas’ and ‘Carrot Dip’ to name just a few.

Private stallholders included a range of local crafts people, The Owl & Pyramid bookshop in Seaton, Item Drop game shop in Seaton and Seaton Library.

The children were very excited to see Father Christmas in his winter wonderland grotto.

The proceeds of this years Christmas Bazaar will be used to support the school in various projects including upgrading science and maths equipment, art days and much more.
