Welcome to Year 6!

Our motto for the year is Work Hard, Play Hard!   #respect

Year 6 is an extremely busy, but fun-filled, year where we look to develop the child as a whole, preparing them for the transition to secondary school. Not only will the children be able to improve their academic skills, they will have the opportunities to work effectively in a team, help younger children around the school and take part in some fantastic activities.

Some of the great things the children can look forward to include: our residential trip, canoeing, the Year 6 play, supervising the Sponsored Scramble and leading the games for the PTA Christmas and summer events.

This year, the PTA have kindly given each child in Year 6 a personalised Seaton Homework Planner. Please see this for up to date information on homework, trips, messages and handy homework hints!

To keep things simple, homework will be given out on a Monday and collected in on the following Monday. Any homework that is completed early can be kept in the classroom in the children’s trays. A quiz and an English or Maths task will be given each week.

Key points to remember about our trip to Morwellham Quay on Monday.
“We only have one planet. We have nowhere else to go. If we use our creative powers properly we don’t need anywhere else. If we take care of it, and each other, everything we need is right here” Sir Ken Robinson Along with many other schools around Britain and around the world, Key Stage 2 pupils were asked today to come up with one idea to change the world.
