Where your money goes
This year we have invested over £1200 towards the new accelerated readers scheme across the whole school, provided all the Year 6 children with a leaver’s hoody, provided £300 worth of new play equipment for reception children, bought new red sports polo shirts for children to wear when representing the school, provided over £400 towards new science equipment, bought new ipads for the children to use and contributed £1675 towards the cost of the covered area outside Year 1 and 2.
We respond to children’s request via the school council, and the teacher’s request funds directly so that we know that ever penny we raise is being used in the best possible way.
We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the dedication of the committee members and the group of volunteers that help behind the scenes sparing half an hour here or there to wrap gifts at Christmas, prepare raffle tickets, make teas and coffees at sports day, manning a stall at an event or just designing a poster.
For those of you that wish to get more involved, the PTA usually meet on the first Tuesday of every month in the reception classrooms. Children are welcome to stay and play. In September, we will hold a PTA coffee morning so look out for the date in your Parentmail newsletter. We will also be holding our Annual General Meeting at the end of September where we welcome as many parents and friends of the school to come along.
