Seaton Primary's Sport Relief Daily Mile Challenge
Inspired by Sport Relief’s national ‘Step for Sport Relief’ initiative, each day the children (and staff) were challenged to run the Daily Mile in different and exciting ways in an attempt to reach a 4,500 lap total in 4 days. Despite the snow day loosing us a days worth of running, we managed to not only reach our target but exceed it, running 4789!
In addition, on Friday children were asked to bring in voluntary donations of 50p or more to contribute to Sport Relief. In return, they were invited to wear any sports kit for the final push. This proved successful, as we ran 500 laps more than our previous best day. In total we raised £168, which will be donated to worthy causes sponsored by Sport Relief both in the UK and abroad.
